Domestic markets potential for SMEs

Indian SMEs should explore growth possibilities in the domestic market rather than in the international ones, said Syed Baderuddin, national vice president of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, speaking recently on the sidelines of a bilateral meeting of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi.

Highlighting the success and exposure for small to medium enterprises in IT, he suggested exploring domestic expansion for SMEs in the electronics industry. On the export front, he pointed out that gems and jewelry, agriculture, leather and auto components have huge market abroad. The event was organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
