During the recently concluded ‘Indo-German Management Training Programme’, Indian SMEs formed 11 joint ventures with German counterparts in sectors like auto components, engineering goods, machinery and the likes. The training program has been organized by CII-Avantha Centre of Competitiveness for SMEs.

In the coming six months period, 48 more joint ventures are likely to be formed. The program is where participants can join hands with German SMEs to train themselves with their skills. The program has served as a platform where an Indian company could successfully finalize Euro 50,000 deal with a German company. India and Germany also signed a bilateral training program in 2008 to help Indian executives and managers understand the nuances of investment and technology.

Managers and SME owners are also flown to Germany for training. But, prior to this they are made to go through an extensive training program in India covering major business curriculum. The Indian and German partnership is expected to see 48 more joint ventures in coming months.

The program’s aim is to facilitate strengthening of administrative, social, intercultural and professional competencies of Indian managers. The general aim is to enhance competitiveness of enterprises and their economic potential by participation with German enterprises.
